Welcome to 1922! Based in the heart of North Manchester, we’re here to say a big f*ck you to the failures of the levelling up fund and constant negative media attention aimed at the poorest parts of our city.

Manchester has long been considered a creative rival to London but when that creative industry is only coming from a fraction of the city is it really a true representation of what Manchester has to offer?

The North/South divide is not only true nationally but even within our own city. North Manchester is more often than not left out of the city's success story with the focus being on the south and the city centre.

Not content with letting our legacy in 100 years be nothing but police tape, bad news and clickbait M.E.N. articles, 1922 was born from a message of hope in an age of uncertainty.

We're not an exclusive club, naturally we're going to spotlight and bring up creatives from the area but with issue 1 featuring diverse talent and voices from Rochdale to Bolton to Merseyside, one thing that unites us is our passion, determination and authenticity. 1922 is for all the talent trapped in poverty and all the voices we never get to hear from.

Issue 1 is finished, fully packaged and ready to go - we are now looking for brands, sponsors, publishers and advertisers to help get 1922 into circulation!
